Client Receives Full Compensation from CPO Acquiring Authority

I worked with a hairdresser located in the centre of Croydon that had her business premises compulsory acquired. I assisted the client by advising her on the timelines and procedures of the compulsory purchase order. I also helped her find suitable properties she could move into, and provided her with acquisition advice on her preferred relocation option.

Furthermore, I produced for her a schedule of all the costs associated with the move, including the removal costs, estimated loss of income during the move, double overheads, costs associated with fitting out of the new premises, new signage, stationary, advertising and professional fees.

I submitted this cost schedule to the Acquiring Authority and secured an advanced payment for my client before she had to pay the invoices. When all the actual costs were realised, I produced a final settlement claim allowing my client to obtain additional compensation to cover her financial losses.
